Gloria J. Winley

Gloria J. Winley is a mother, grandmother, community leader, servant, and woman of God. She grew up with 11 younger brothers and 5 sisters and naturally developed a nurturing spirit and a deep sense of responsibility for the well-being of others. Gloria's heart for service extended beyond her local community as she embarked on numerous mission trips to Haiti, Germany, Italy, Amsterdam, and London. Witnessing the transformative power of God's love expressed through the universal language of compassion and care, Gloria experienced firsthand the profound impact that faith can have on people's lives. 

 Gloria’s law enforcement career began in her role as a Police Administrative Aide, and soon after passed the requirements to become a Police Officer. After an illustrious 24-year career with the elite New York City Police Department, Detective Gloria retired with a wealth of experiences and achievements.  

Gloria's journey has been enriched by her commitment to deepening her spiritual knowledge and ministry involvement. She served as a Christian Worker and holds credentials from the Collegiate Bible Institute, serving as a Licensed Missionary, Licensed, and Ordained Evangelist at The Soul Saving Station for Every Nation, Christ Crusaders of America. Beyond her spiritual and professional endeavors, Gloria volunteered at the St. Albans Veterans Administration Medical Center Palliative Care. She is an esteemed lifetime member of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), serving as a board member and the Chaplain of the Queens County Section. Additionally, she is on the Health, Community Service, and Youth Mentor committees. She is the recipient of President Biden’s Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring her exceptional dedication and impact on the community.

Gloria remains steadfast in sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all she encounters. Her life is a testament to the power of faith, the importance of service, and the transformative nature of love.
