Lana Short, 23, was born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia. She is finishing her Bachelor’s degree at Old Dominion University, where she is pursuing a major in Psychology and a minor in English, focusing on Creative Writing. She is also an intern with Write It Out Publishing LLC. Her writing journey begin began when she was just a child. Lana and her father used to make up bedtime stories together instead of reading the traditional ones we all had grown to love. Her passion for writing has continues continued to grow more and more, as well as her love for helping others. From a young age, she knew that she would always love to help and on to help support others in any way she could, whether by giving hugs, a helping hand, or a listening ear. Lana plans to one day become a family therapist and continue to expand her joy of writing by publishing her own works. This anthology is truly her coming-out story, and she is excited to help someone else through their journey of what it means to be chosen.
